Our partner, מכון ירושלים למחקרי מדיניות - Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, held a symposium, ‘Struggles Over the Future of Jerusalem and Holy Sites: Research Findings and Lessons’.
The symposium focused on insights and lessons from direct and indirect negotiations on the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and specifically on Jerusalem. Prof. Reiter shared with us personal stories as a member in the Israeli teams of peace negotiations. Furthermore, were presented additional examples of tensions of holy places, as they display in four case study’s: Temple Mount; Mount Zion; The Tomb Garden; and Qasr Al-Yehud.

The symposium was in honor of Professor Yitzhak Reiter‘s retirement after 30 years of research at the Jerusalem Institute, where he studied extensively the Arab-Israeli peace process and conflicts regarding the holy places.
